overview

ALMULTAKA was born to fill in a niche in the ladies sector of our society, a sector that has never been approached and challenged in this fashion before.

Fermentation and solidifying of the many ideas firmly grounded in Art and design, became the aspirations for giving life to a center where all arts met and where all aspiring Saudi and Arab ladies gathered under one roof. A melange of all aspects of Art, and Design, beauty and aesthetics became Almultaka. Tthe "Rendez-vous" for all the above. The concept itself was quite revolutionary at the time.

These basic goals were so firmly grounded that they become the skeleton for a multi purpose ladies only center with only one aim, to fulfill the needs and requirement of an ever expanding society and the demanding ladies market.

Almutaka  was not only presenting them with the most avant-garde, and exclusive designers, locally, from across the world, and the most superior service possible, but also allowing them to be subjected, while enjoying themselves, to the enlightenment of Art and design by rubbing shoulder  to shoulder with it, One is encouraged to take advantage of the varied Art collection, videotape and music library as well as a wide ranging library of books. Almultaka has always been aspiring to be seen as an umbrella under which up and coming Saudi and other Arab artist be it literary, fine Art, or designers can take refuge.

Therefore the Almultaka new center was opened where not only the designers were represnted in the best light  possible but a full collection of primary Arab artist from across the world exhibit their paintings and literature.

Also presentations of Lama O. Aggad’s work and designs took place twice a year and have done so whenever other work permitted.
